The new year has brought many changes on Czech motorways, one of which is the adjustment of motorway toll prices. From March 2024, the price of an annual vignette will increase to CZK 2,500. This increase is a result of the rise in inflation and the fact that the price of vignettes has remained unchanged for the last 10 years. Other types of vignettes have either become slightly cheaper or have remained unchanged.
4 types of vignettes
There are a total of 4 types of vignettes, which differ in duration. The best value is the annual vignette (CZK 2,500), which costs less than CZK 6.5 per day. Then there is the 30-day vignette (CZK 630) and the 10-day vignette (CZK 470), which cost CZK 20 and CZK 35 per day respectively. And if you know you’re only going to drive the car once, there’s a 1-day vignette for CZK 350, which is valid until midnight on the day it was bought.
Do you regularly drive on toll motorway sections or are you more of an occasional user of the motorway network? Our electronic vignette is for all types of drivers.

Price list for electric and alternative fuel cars
Alternative fuels
Vehicles powered by alternative fuels such as natural gas (CNG, LNG, Biomethane) are eligible for discounted vignette prices. An annual electronic vignette for these vehicles costs only CZK 1,350, which is half the price of a vignette for vehicles running on conventional fuels. This discounted price reflects efforts to promote greener alternatives for vehicle propulsion.

Plug-in hybrid vehicles
Low CO₂ emitting vehicles such as plug-in hybrids (with a maximum emission of 50 g/km) have even lower vignette prices. The annual electronic vignette for these vehicles costs only CZK 770. This price reflects efforts to promote greener vehicle propulsion alternatives and to encourage the use of low-emission hybrid vehicles.

Electric cars
A positive development for 2024 is that vehicles powered exclusively by electricity or hydrogen will be exempt from the requirement to purchase vignettes. These vehicles will be automatically registered thanks to the special registration plates they will receive. Owners of vehicles with zero CO₂ emissions will be eligible for this exemption.
